![]() ![]() ![]() Weathering was kept to a minimum since the real TH-6s were kept pretty clean.Īlright, enough of my whining.let's look at some photos.Īnd here's one of both my H-6s together.Īs usual, comments, questions and criticisms are welcome. It's painted with a mix of AK Real Colors, Tamiya acrylics, Testors and MM enamels.whatever would stick! The orange "sash" is painted on, all the rest of the markings are from the spares box. Its not free, so if youre looking for a free alternative, you could try Tonebridge or Deplike Guitar Effects & Amps. The best Android alternative is AmpliTube. I think it's a solid three-footer that will look OK on the highest tippy-top shelf. Ampkit is not available for Android but there are a few alternatives with similar functionality. The AmpKit Link was specifically designed to provide solutions for the iPhone platform. I'm not totally happy with the results, but I am happy to be done and have it off my bench. The AmpKit LiNK is the high-fidelity audio interface part of the system for connecting a guitar, bass or other line level source to the application. I even sanded the plastic to give it some "bite." Regardless of what I did, the paint would flake, chip and lift. I tried acrylics, enamels and lacquers, with and without primer. After settling on markings, I learned that paint wouldn't stick to the plastic. After deciding that I didn't want to fuss with mingun assembly, the build changed tack, and I moved away from MCIV as my subject. Worse, there were missing and misshapen parts. The parts were numbered in the instructions but not on the spure. The PE didn't fit either, and I ended up only using a few pieces here and there. (Although, that might have been an assembly error on my part that I'll attribute to the terrible fit of the preceding assemblies.) Actually, none of the transparencies fit well. So thick that, when it came time to attach it, it made contact with some of the interior details. The windscreen's contours didn't fit the shape of the fuselage, and it was also textured, foggy and thick. To make matters worse, the parts' fit was terrible. There were no clear locating or attachment points. The plastic was greasy and textured with bits and blobs on the surface. While concurrently building a Minicraft OH-6 variant, it became clear to me that AMP's boxing was a copy of someone else's plastic. This kit was originally started during the pandemic, but it quickly got relegated to the Shelf of Doom. I was able to pick up this kit cheap at a swap meet, and I was initially excited about building it up. The boxing included extra parts, PE and decals to model Miss Clawd IV. Use any guitar cable with 1/4" jack.I finally got the second Loach of the year's first "double." This is AMP's boxing of a Vietnam era Loach. ![]() If your adapter has a volume control, be sure it's not set to zero. ![]() Each adapter has its own connection scheme, but the general rule is to plug the device into a headphone jack or a lightning port. AmpKit LiNK HD is a pure digital guitar interface that connects to the 30-pin or Lightning port (using Apples Lightning to 30-pin Adapter) on your iOS device. Use a connection guide that came with your adapter. Tonebridge supported devices: Alesis IO Dock, AmpKit Link, AmpKit Link HD, Apogee JAM, iRiffPort, iRig, iRig 2, iRig HD, iRig Pro, Line 6 Mobile In, Line 6 SonicPort. IPhone 7 owners: since there is no headphone jack in iPhone 7, get an adapter that uses lightning port for connection and has its own headphone jack. We recommend to get a digital device such as iRig Pro or Apogee Jam because they have a much better sound quality. Analog uses a headphone jack for connection, while digital uses a lightning port. There are two types of adapters: analog and digital. The adapter turns guitar sound into a data that can be read by your iOS device. To connect a guitar, you need a special guitar adapter.
